February 17, 2017 - Return of Shannon: Coffee, cherry, pepper on the nose. Very sweet fruited palate, there is decent structure here, but doesn't really excite. Drink now.

April 6, 2015 - Cork showed some ingress, but wine fine. Probably a little past full flavours, but still very smooth

December 19, 2014 - Drank as part of a big old wine night, not as blockbuster as I remembered, but still a very sold Aussie shiraz. Fruit still present, tannins all mellowed and a lovely drop. 2 to go, happily so!

December 11, 2011 - This is a great value Shiraz, I've had over 3 cases of this in the past 5 years and it consistently drinks well. Dark fruit and cedar nose with nice balance front to finish. Occasionally a little too tart mid palate to finish, which is the only place I have noted much bottle to bottle variation. The Command is more concentrated and consistent, but this is very good.

December 9, 2011 - NobleRottersSydney - Christmas Lunch 2011 (David's place): [cork, 15%] A developing but still big nose; inky liquorice and blackberry aromas dominate; all very lifted and intense. This continues on the palate, with flavours of super-ripe, heavily macerated black fruit. It’s big and friendly, in the sense there’s not much tannin left to speak of, and the acid seems submerged under the weight of fruit and sheer heft of the alcohol, which eventually comes to dominate the finish. Fair enough wine in its style, but I think the older it gets the more refreshment value it’ll lose; and eventually all that heat will dominate the palate. Drink up.

July 27, 2011 - always a great treat when you open a bottle to find the fruit and tannins in perfect harmony. The rich fruit was still present while being supported by soft tannins. Rich frt with a slight chocolate taste and a long finish.
This is why you cellar wine, so great to pull such a wine and get a great surprise
