September 11, 2014 - I really like dessert wines, but this is something altogether different. Color was similar to dark agave syrup or maple syrup with a viscosity similar to warmed maple syrup. It is difficult to tell if this wine ever went through fermentation. The sweetness hits you like a brick wall, with no supporting acidity. This should have never been sold as wine. I hope that this bottle was flawed, but I am uncertain. I cannot imagine drinking this.

September 11, 2013 - Color of coffee. All sugar / no structure. Borderline undrinkable.

May 17, 2013 - Berserker Fest Friday Dinner - SQN Table (Blue Star Bistro - Chicago, IL): Oh my goodness. Richer and thicker than anything else I've tasted. So unusual and intriguing.
    Loved it. Only 6% alcohol.
Apples, marmalade, nectarine. So dense. Yum.

May 17, 2013 - Chicago Berserkerfest Dinner (Blue Star Bistro - Chicago IL): Candied fruit, ultra concentrated. Beyond syrupy consistency, almost like a slushy. Very unusual and fascinating, to the point I couldn't tell if I really liked this wine or couldn't stand it at all. But perhaps it was just late.

September 24, 2010 - Good nose of apricot and nectar, sweetness was unbearable. Maybe with butter and waffles

August 25, 2010 - Light amber color. Aromatics of caramel and aged honeysuckle. This wine reminds me of Pedro Ximenez in a youthfull vintage. I would set these aside for 5-10 years to see where they go to determine their ageability. The wine is quite viscious like older PX but lacks the complexity of aging. Have patience with this vintage! June 18, 2010 - Misc CA tasting at Kenneth: Insanely concentrated nose of honey but also with a lot of dried apricots and raisins.
The palate is liquid honey and concentrated apricot flavors. Extremely overdone and vulgar. Very little acidity which really ruins the wine for me! Almost purely liquid sugar. Had high hopes for this and I have perhaps even been a little generous with the 80p rating. The lack of acidity really ruins the wine and it is more of a curiosity than actual wine.

June 8, 2010 - Grossly underrated by the tasters below, in my view. This is an impressive dessert wine by CA standards (which are high in many areas but not in the sweet wine category) with a lot of character and individuality. Lots of pink apple flavor like a tokaji, but with more of a toffee overtone. Don't drink it if it's not time for dessert.
