January 17, 2017 - Last bottle and a very respectable showing, elegant , fragrant, and softly balanced nebbiolo, enjoyed with sousvide duck leg confit and mushroom risotto.

August 30, 2016 - This bottle had definitely seen better days. The nose was beautiful and smelled like a bouquet of roses in an old library, with a some sweet caramel notes. The taste was of red currant and lingonberries, but with a sour (acidic) ending and a metallic aftertaste. Still possible to drink, but not all that enjoyable. Better with food.

July 31, 2016 - From memory. Decanted 8 hours, flavors much as previous, but color and body better from the start. Again, not a blockbuster, but delicious with teres major. and artchoke/cheese ravioli.

June 15, 2016 - From memory, and after a brief decant. Garnet with rusty edges, fresh light underripe red fruit and flowers nose, full but soft palate. Certainly no powerhouse, but much improved from the first bottle, enjoyed with spaghetti and meatballs.

August 26, 2015 - After many wines of this type, this one seemed a little anonymous despite an excellent producer, perhaps just the apparently weak vintage.

March 16, 2014 - Colour is horrible. Yellow and muddy, it resembles dirty urine. Scent is dominated by stinging burnt rubber, vashwater and wet basement. The taste is the best thing with this wine, but is still nothing to applaud. A soapy sticky feeling on the tongue. A sharp finish with hints of plastic and a thin watery soup.

January 4, 2013 - Slightly lifted nose with vibrant fruit: raspberries, cherries and stone fruits. Dark chocolate, refined oak, floral notes, tar, mushrooms, smoke and meaty animality.
Medium to fullbodied palate with nice acidic brightness to it. Raspberries to figs, dusty smooth tannins and chewy weight with notes of charcoal and leather. Long graphite finish.
Just as Otto puts it: lovely stuff, even if not the most complex wine.
