July 16, 2020 - Eyrie Cellar Certified bottling. G5; 4.5+8.5+4.5+8.5+8.9+4.9+5=94+; Rich, dark gold color. Aromas reluctantly emerge with lots of swirling and warming, but then there is an abundance of honey, a touch of clove, caramel, apricot, orange blossom, and lots of magnolia. Mouthfeel is luscious, smooth, and still juicy acidity. Lovely depth and richness of flavor with only 13% alc.; Orchard/citrus blend that is perfectly integrated, harmonious, and balanced. Finish is very long with an orange zest nuance that is smooth with a mouthwatering touch of tartness. Great balance here with just enough lean toward acidity that this remains very fresh and lively. Great aging and will likely still go many more years. Great to drink now, but no harm to hold.

April 22, 2018 - This is good, though slightly oxidized. The nose shows ripe orchard fruits, but also quite a bit of nutty oxidation. The palate is still actually pretty good with nice freshness and less noticeable oxidation; apple, pear, and dried floral notes come through nicely. It is still overall quite pleasant and enjoyable as long as you don't mind a hint of sherry type notes.
