November 4, 2023 - Deep Garnet with medium intensity developed aromas of plum, violet, wet wood, asian spice Nutmeg, tobacco, raspberry, and thyme. This wine has medium body and tannins with high alcohol and medium acidity. This wine has medium plus intensity flavors and a medium plus finish. This wine has flavors of plum, raspberry, wood, tobacco, nutmeg, in forest floor. This is a very good wine which I think is at its peak so drink within the next year or two max.
This wine truly exceeded my expectations. for an hour, and found that the aromas and palate were consistent, balanced, and complex. The fruit, secondary, and tertiary flavors are in excellent Balance. Predominant flavors include plum, wood, nutmeg, and tobacco. -

February 5, 2023 - Fruit Day - Decanted off about a teaspoon of grainy sediment. Still ruby/garnet in the glass. Nose is herbs, red and blue fruit (both fresh and dried), dark chocolate with some heat from the alcohol (14.5% stated). Developed but with lots of fresh fruit as well. On the palate the tannins are not quite resolved yet but are soft enough (and there’s enough fruit left) to keep it well balanced. Served with a lamb curry and it works well - flavourful enough to stand up to the powerful flavour of the dish yet is soft enough and the tannins are resolved enough that they don’t create more heat in the dish. Could easily develop for another 3 or so years with no detriment in quality. Well done!

March 9, 2019 - Earthy fruit. A little vanilla and spice. The tiniest taste of something green, vegetal.

September 26, 2014 - Quite nice carmenere; more fleshy fruit than tobacco and cherry but smooth on the start and finish. Had with steak/potatoes and was very nice compliment. Also very good with the chocolate dessert! Solid choice for a Fall dinner not wanting a typical Cab Sav. Enjoy.
