June 7, 2019 - Haven’t drunk one of these in a while so I thought I would check in on it. This is evolving really well. After a one hour decant this has a lovely nose of black fruit, tobacco and chocholate. The palate sports flavors of black currant, lead pencil and tobacco surrounded by moderates, smooth tannins. The wine has terrific balance and integration with everything falling nicely into place through to a very long finish. This reminds me of a very good 1990s Cali cab

April 13, 2019 - Drank from 375. Middle of the fairway, drinking great.

March 16, 2019 - Magnum, very lovely with wonderful fruits and an adequate length of mouth feel, but (as noted in other reviews), the tannins are gone—makes for a lovely very lush wine, but not much complexity left. I have almost a case to drink up—had been saving it as it was touted to been long-lived, but compared to my 2000 Bordeaux futures, this is not going to graduate!

March 12, 2019 - Decanted for 2 hours. Still has good depth. Somewhat floral on the nose, with rich berriy flavors, a hint of chocolate. Tannins are gone

December 29, 2018 - Dark red ruby in color. Cassis, graphite, black olive paste, cocoa powder on the nose. A ripe palate shows sweet dark red/black crushed small berries, dark chocolate, hint of licorice, medium acidity, melting tannins and a long perfumed wood finish.
