December 16, 2017 - Surprisingly full bodied with little tannin remaining. Took about 20 min for it to open up. Dark fruit on the nose but ripe berries and some tobacco/leather also.

January 28, 2010 - took this to "pinot Noir from around the world" wine class with Megan. Thought it was disjointed and overoaked. Maybe it'll come together with time? Bitter tannins on the finish.

January 8, 2010 - The second pinot noir I've tasted hailing from the Mountain time zone, and the second to impress me. Just like the surprisingly good $20 cuvee from Gruet in NM, there's a perceptibly different terroir here than you get from a coastal bottle, exuding a quiet minerality that feels more old world than new.

Dark, watery purple in color. Strikingly French nose of framboise and plenty of barnyard funk. On the palate, balanced notes of red fruit, earth, and spice. Short-to-moderate finish, easy on tannins. Nothing too crazy in the way of structure, but beautifully crafted for what it is.
