January 24, 2013 - Nice wine. Decanted about 1.5 hrs, and it was best at 2-3 hrs. Big porty nose of black fruit and dirt. Big black and blue fruits, both fresh and dried, with a complex middle of earth and leather. Raisin/portlike finish. Alcohol was well integrated. It might last a few more years. It got a bitter edge after 5 hrs open.

June 30, 2009 - General impression only. Not really what I would consider an Amarone, but the flavors were there. Just no wow factor going on whatsoever. 86pts.
