July 9, 2019 - Had with wine group. Wine of the night among 10 wines. Kind of a cab lovers Syrah with vanilla undertone and cherry. Definitely has heft. Ready to drink now.

April 5, 2016 - Consistent with prior notes. I think this is drinking pretty much at its prime. Some very fine sediment throughout - might could use a run through a filter or vinturi. But in any event a nice smooth syrah that has plenty of fruit and is food friendly.

February 9, 2016 - We let this slow ox for about 3 hours. Big nose - could smell it across the room. Smooth and fine. Quite a bit of fruit; not a gamey or funky syrah. Ready to pop. Food friendly. Very nice QPR.

February 25, 2010 - The Bristol with Russell Bevan (The Bristol - Chicago, IL): Full, nuanced nose has black fruit, herbs and spice. Palate is medium bodied with terrific balance of fruit and acidity. High toned and complex. Just starting to reveal what lies beneath. A different animal than the '06.
