Community Tasting Notes 22

June 29, 2023 - Dark ruby. Aromas of blackberry, mulberry, roses, graphite, espresso, Mexican chocolate. Fresh dark and red fruit on the palate with a smooth feel, bordering on unctuous but enlivend by the medium to high acids, smoothly integrated medium to high tannins, low to medium alcohol (13%). Very long and classy finish with fine aromatic notes.

February 18, 2023 - Some good points, some not so good. Quite a mute nose, with just some subdued blackcurrant and a little earth. In the mouth, a very agreeable freshness at first, with cool blackcurrant notes, plus a velvety smoothness, not all that tannic, but it lacks zip. The fruit is a little too subtle and overall, it just tastes a little bland, rather like one of those anonymous second wines that are fine to have a glass of in a restaurant. Hopefully it will improve.

October 31, 2022 - In my opinion still not in the optimal drinking window. On the first evening dominating tannins, on the second smoother and some fun to drink. Next bottle in 2 years.

June 6, 2022 - Dark garnet. Black plum, blackcurrant, violets on the nose with a generous but deft touch of spicy oak. Penetrating dark fruit on the palate with a touch of green bell pepper aroma at the back, medium to high acids, strong tannins quite smoothly integrated, low alcohol (13%), light to medium body, long finish. Lovely and delicate.

August 18, 2019 - 0.375 L bottle mid Aug 2019: crimson red color; red and dark berries in the nose accompanied by subtle cigar box and mint aromas; round and smooth on the palate; medium-full body.
