September 1, 2014 - Very dark red color. PNP, aerated into glasses; drank 2 plus glasses over 2 hours. This was very enjoyable and drinking nicely; it continued to improve over the 2 hours. The nose has nice damp earth that really emerges over the first 30 minutes along with creme de cassis, dark raspberries, and spice. The palate is medium-full bodied, cassis, black cherry, berry, oak, dry earth, a little briar, nice tannins and a medium finish. Great way to finish up the lot.

October 2, 2013 - Deep blue red with aromas of black cherry, plum and clove. The flavors are cassis, black cherry, clove and vanilla. Heavy in body and crisp in acidity. the tannins are velvet the finish is long. This is a smooth, deep, complex wine with dark fruits interlaced with spice and vanilla.

September 8, 2013 - Ok for daily drinking. Rich fruit with a bit of chalky herbaceous character on the palate. Lacks the backbone / bass note that would make this more appealing to me. Update: after 30 minutes in the glass, this smooths out nicely, with the herb notes fading a bit. Very solid for the price.
