November 22, 2023 - Gotta say that I’m in the camp that believes this one is past its prime. I thought it might blow off as it opened but sadly it held the same. Might have been a winner in its heyday but this bottle did not age gracefully.

March 4, 2023 - ESTG does Red Burgundy (Bellevue, WA, USA): This shows the ripe vintage with a freshly baked fruit pie. Mmm, this has wonderful fruit, ripe and generous but not overripe or too roasted. Long, long with buckets of fruit.

November 30, 2022 - Ripe dark fruit, earthy and minerally, with adequate freshness. Still a little tight and short, so this wine still may have some time ahead of it.

August 28, 2022 - Method: pop and pour; cellar tempt; red/bdx wine glass

Nose: barnyard, black cherry, wet forest floor, faint mint

Palate: ripe darker cherry, baking spice; long finish of mineral, a light dried herbs; dry; medium- dusty tannin; medium- body; medium acidity

Overall thoughts: The nose is great, but the palate, while very good, is not a good as it lacks a bit of complexity and the tannins are very good, but not great. Great wine.

July 23, 2022 - This took 90-120 mins to open up. Initially acid heavy.

Extremely young energy, beautiful tannic structure and awesome acidity, verging on slightly too much but still in sync. Fruits nicely present after the prerequisite air. Great mouth and nice length. Maybe even better in 5? Could smooth out the burly acids. 25 years is the sweet spot for jadot Clos V
