September 21, 2011 - Light golden color. Medium body and pretty bright acidity. Tropical nose of pineapple and passion fruit, along with lemon rind, grass, and a bit of vanilla and toast, and a light touch of minerals. Lemon and acidity dominates the palate, but there's a creamy mouthfeel to it as well. Aside from the creaminess, this feels more sauvignon blanc than chardonnay to me, as mentioned in a previous note. Honestly, it's a fine quaffer, but in the end it's really just not that exciting to me. Not bad; not great. The nose was probably the highlight, and those notes mentioned were somewhat subdued. Wouldn't kick it out of bed, but wouldn't go out of my way either.
