March 24, 2019 - Great wine, ready to drink. So typical bordeaux in bouquet and taste. A pleasure to drink. In great balance. I like it!

June 16, 2018 - Tasted after 2015. Certainly not as generous - green pepper notes, dark fruit, spices, herbal, floral on the nose. On the palate more structure, slightly angular tannins, good acidity, a little green, medium length. 87-89

October 21, 2016 - Manque un peu de matière mais agréable à boire maintenant

August 8, 2016 - A nice surprise. This young Margaux is well made and delicious. It is medium-bodied, and I really enjoyed the balance between its powerfulness and its elegance. It is evolved enough to be really enjoyable to drink. Aromas of red berries, a bit of vanilla, a bit of graphite. There is a lovely acidity making it very dynamic on the palate and bringing some freshness. Complexity and elegance. Excellent value!

May 24, 2015 - Touch of leather with some toasted nuts and vanilla notes. Quite fruit-driven with a touch of oak spice. some development present on the palate as well - elements of vegetal and earth. You can tell that it's a pretty good wine that has ticked most of the boxes, just not outstanding enough.

(Chateau Rauzan-Gassies Margaux) Hints of blackberry and cream here, in a chalky, mineral style. Cool on entry, lighter and leaner in the midpalate when compared to Ségla, but more juicy in terms of fruit. Nice tannins at the core, ripe, with good acidity. It lacks great substance and definition, but the wines here do seem to be improving.

(Château Rauzan-Gassies (Margaux)) This wine has some attractive and rather nutty spice on the nose, probably oak derived, with some reasonably confident fruit character. Despite this the palate has a rather light entry, and this feeling persist into the midpalate. It has a supple texture with some spiky fruit. The tannins give it a nice backbone, although they do feel a touch chewy considering the weight of wine.
