October 25, 2021 - AWESOME, ROUND, DRY, TOBACCO, LEATHER, GREAT! Enjoyed with fresh BLT's using home grown heirloom tomatoes grown from seed. Couldn't be better!

June 13, 2020 - This was opened later in the evening, and I was a little wined out, but this didn’t resonate with me. It was a little hard, and simple. I guess you could chalk it up to being young, but I am not convinced.

October 10, 2019 - Decanted. At a good place now...more resolved than previous tasting (decanting helped)...

December 20, 2018 - shared with pat at selkirk manor. no formal notes. impression similar to when tasted last on 3/3/2017. typical prune notes as is characteristic for barolo. the wine has improved a bit with age. will wait awhile before trying the next one.

December 19, 2018 - Nice... Complex Nebiollo nose of roses, slight tar packaged elegantly. Rather tight , and just as I think it might never fully resolve, about 2 hours after opening and pouring intermittently, the last few sips (never could relate to those of you who drink a bottle over 3 nights....), it shows that there might still be some minor relief to our teeth enaml with more time in the bottle. I foresee no great improvement in overall flavor set though. Nice as it is. Just accompany it with a nicely crusted steak.

March 3, 2017 - shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate the end of the work week. had to see what was going on with this wine since the last note posted on CT was from 2015. proved to be a very enjoyable entry level barolo. predominant prune flavor which is characteristic of the area. seems to have come along in its development since last tasted by others. only needed about 30 minutes of air to start showing what it has to offer. garnet color. dried fruit nose. medium body. builds a bit in the glass. pleasant finish. seems to have enough structure to continue developing for another year. will hold off on trying another bottle for awhile. wish i had bought more.

June 22, 2015 - Still very tight when opened. Decanted 8 hours ahead and starting to open up nicely. Age longer

September 12, 2013 - Some bricking around edges, cork looked great. On opening, and for an hour or so afterwards, this was showing almost nothing -- little nose, no tannins, and no taste worth describing. I almost tossed it. On second night, this was really quite nice. Showed a nice barolo flavor profile, with good acidity. My advice: decant or wait longer on this!

May 11, 2012 - Rustic barolo with solid typicity; this is what a good homemade barolo tastes like. 50/5/12/14/7

October 22, 2011 - Decanted a couple hours and it really opened up with soft flavors. Very good and better than previous bottles
