  September 19, 2011 - Needs about 2 hours to stabilize. Pepper and dark red fruit on the nose; definitely cherry, quince, raspberry. Solid tannin and acidic fruit on the palate. Bacon too, but that's been said.

  January 11, 2011 - Notes from my 10/26 and 6/16 apply again here, and it's important to point out that this is not an overly ripe cali-fest, but a more restrained and balanced expression. Acidic without the over-the-top tannins from a ripe monster.

  October 26, 2010 - Dark syrupy red. Spice box, cherries, pepper on the nose. Tart raspberries on the mid-palate, black pepper and bitters on the finish. Mild tannins. An outstanding $12 wine! Buy a case if you can.
