August 2, 2019 - Consistent. Last pour was the best. All dark fruit. Finish that’ll haunt your dreams

July 4, 2019 - Mature Cali Cab with black cherry, black raspberry, tea and grilled herbs. Did well with grilled rib eyes. Soft tannins, generous nose, great integration of flavors.

July 4, 2019 - At peak. Dark blue fruit, less dusty than the Ch. Margaux. Love it. Blackberry

November 15, 2018 - The '97 Eisele has reached and stretched a tad beyond its peak. The cork fell apart, yet the aromatics of this gorgeous mature cab revealed notes of cherry, cranberry, mocha, eucalyptus, and a hint of cedar. Very little sediment, on the palate the wine packed a good amount of fruit upfront and through the mid-palate, but lacked weight and with a very disappointing finish compared to previously and other cults from the 97 vintage. Tannins resolved and only a hint of acidity. Enjoyable.

    September 30, 2018 - What a beautiful wine!
We enjoyed this elegant wine after a great dinner at GWFins in NOLA.
It had great color and wonderful depth. The nose was good, but it was better on the palate - rich and luscious fruit (dark and some red) - and a finish that was lovely.
It proves, yet again, that, if you are patient, CA wines will reward you.

Rockss and Fruit

(Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon) Telltale nose of spicy chocolate, mocha, wool, candied cherries. Fat, glyceril, and very concentrated on the palate with the dominant flavors being spicy chocolate with some cherries, currant and raspberry sneaking in there. Definetly the thickest wine of the night needing some age. Still, a very enjoyable drink. This is the quintessential California Cab. Ripe as hell, dense, oak, and Cali terroir shining through.
