June 15, 2021 - Like a Duracell battery this wine won't quit. It is now 13 years old and though some of the early floral notes are decreasing the wine is still a delight to drink. It is nicely balanced. I think the color might be darkening a bit but otherwise its fine. In terms of drinking pleasure per dollar spent this is one of my best.

November 1, 2020 - This is one tough white wine. 12 years old it still tastes young. Good fruit, nice color. Still going strong.

July 20, 2014 - Light green tinged yellow. White orchard fruit. Good mineral spine. Good acidity. Round white fruit with a lemony citrus dimension. I enjoyed but did not find it especially interesting. From my last note, almost two years ago, it seems the bottle has lost a step. Will continue to follow it.

January 11, 2013 - Tasted Blind. I got a nose of buttered popcorn, although I must admit no one else backed my claim. Whatever it was, the nose was very interesting with a nice wet stone smell running though it as well. On the palate it was dry and I got lime, lemon, honeydew and something vegetal. Could have passed for a Sauvignon Blanc but I knew it wasn't that. In the end it was a Gruner Veltliner.

November 3, 2012 - I drank this wine in 2/09 and 2/11. The wine is still drinking well. It has a pleasant citrus overtone with a pleasant finish. The sweetness is subdued. There is minimal obvious oak. In both of my previous notes I mentioned tartness. This was not a characteristic that I noticed with the current bottle.

October 30, 2012 - Color: Light green tinged yellow. Nose: Fresh apples and lemons. There is also a saltiness to the nose that is very pleasant. Palate: Excellent mineral spine with great acidity. Full bodied. The white fruits are present but somewhat rounded. This wine has improved quite a bit since my last visit in 2011. I expect it has some substantial life ahead. I will try not to touch more than one per year which will I would like to see how it is doing in 2020.

June 7, 2011 - Aromas of green mango, kiwi and a bit of something else I can't quite place. White grapefruit, crushed rocks and under-ripe stone fruit on the palate along with strong acidity and a kiwi finish.

February 21, 2011 - Medium yellow-gold color. Aromas of peach, meyer lemon, flowers, grapefruit, and a hint of pepper. Palate shows sweet grapefruit, peach, starfruit, and a hint of white pepper and green bean, but the sweetness here overwhelms the savory aspects. Good for quaffing, but not destined for long term development.
