March 8, 2024 - The difficult vintage is noticeable in the wine: Slightly green Cabernet tones determine the fruit profile of this wine, which is too light-footed for a PC. Fortunately, the tannins are nicely integrated and not rough. They still give the wine some body. Decent food companion, but past its prime.

March 8, 2024 - Nearly 2 years from my last bottle. This needed about 20 minutes to open up and gain some depth. This is certainly past its prime but still drinking well enough. Balance is still great and there’s a modest amount of dark fruit. This was overpowered by a wagyu filet. Best to enjoy this with salmon. Time to drink up. Revisit 2025

February 2, 2024 - Bordeaux first-growth lunch: Dilute and unripe with tertiary, mushroom flavours.

January 14, 2024 - Earthy and animal notes in the nose, difficult to approach. Better on the palate, but the narrow texture revealing a difficult year. Mature cassis and blackberry, cedar, dried fruit, mokka and roast aromas, but then forest floor and barnyard notes keeping the wine "on the ground". Past its prime drinking window.

November 4, 2023 - I only had a sip (from my own bottle!), but others were pleased with it.

(Château Haut-Brion) Berry nose; delicious, seductive, complex, cassis and mineral palate, very drinkable; medium finish (surprisingly good for the vintage)
