October 8, 2017 - This third try was delicious. Stewed apple and stewed orange peel, with honey and some nice acidity. This is like fall in a bottle. Really lovely.

January 15, 2017 - Brought to Nick and Libby's for dinner. This should be chilled (for some reason I did not think it did, and I think the experience suffered a bit as we tried to chill it). Light to medium gold in color. Some nice candied fruit -- a bit of bitterness (a bit like citrus rind, so not unpleasant). This did not wow me as much as the last time, but that might have been because of the temperature. I think slightly chilled would be better.

December 17, 2015 - Gingery and peachy and spicy, but marred by a bit of a shellac streak. Not the best bottle of this.

June 12, 2015 - Peachy, poached pears, mild ginger, clove, alpine flowers. Somewhat honeyed and exotic, but fresh and inviting and only medium sweetness balanced by a pleasing Ricola-like herbal bitterness. Excellent.

February 1, 2014 - superb, orange, nuts, caramel, just enough acidity

November 30, 2013 - Really gorgeous wine. Thick and sticky. Lovely aromas and taste of orange peel, stewed oranges, cinnamon, ginger, and citrus all in a complex viscous palate. Very long and satisfying finish.

August 29, 2012 - Peach, mango, ginger aromatics. Profoundly aromatic, much like a Gewurztraminer in its litchi and tropical fruit and spice. Good balance. Yum.

July 2, 2011 - 100% Merlot Toscana: Lemon, apricot, brown sugar and honey spice palate with a kick of mineral water at the end. Medium body and restrained sweetness, totally overpowered by vanilla bean frozen custard.

May 1, 2010 - Primarily a honey taste with an acidic backbone that prevents it from being cloyingly sweet. Smooth and intense with hints of rhubarb, nutmeg, and peach syrup. Long aftertaste.

April 21, 2010 - Italian Night (drink Antonio's wines) (Fort Collins, CO): Apricot, citronella, honeysuckle, flower petals. Dense succulent liquid gold. Long fine finish. A brilliant finale to an evening of great wines.
