February 17, 2018 - Darker ruby, rather youthful; roses almost wilted, touch of mushroom, showing some age but gives way to very clean fruit profile, deep cherry; fruit continues on the palate, a touch of liqueur but all cherry, missing some earth but we both thought this was Burgundy; really well done Zin, need to stash some nice ones away.

June 8, 2014 - RICH ZINFANDEL WITH RASPBERRIES, BLACK CHERRIES, AND SPICE IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR. MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.

July 31, 2011 - In stark contrast to the Schweiger Cabernet opened alongside this, this wine was classic Zin: overtly fruity (boysenberry) with moderate acidity and no tannins to speak of. Open, aromatic and expressively fruity. Very nice wine for its type.

October 23, 2007 - Opened at Zintoberfest. 14.5% alcohol. This was a very fruity Zin. It had supple tannins and was not over the top but did show a little bit of heat on the finish. It didn't really detract from the wine for me though. 89 points.

March 7, 2007 - That Viognier really adds to the nose. Strong red fruit, but with a myriad of floral and spice aromas also. I am not sure if I have had a better zin nose. Very smooth, dark purple/red at the rim. 30 second finish. Pomegranate, cherry, some plum, some spice that I cannot come up with.

April 29, 2006 - First bottle was corked. This wine started off tight but opened up nicely. Good red fruits with spice and nice integrated tannins.
