November 17, 2022 - 88&90 Produttori Study (Cru and Domaine, Portland OR): This was just as perfumed as the 88, but it showed more primary qualities to the fruit. It is deep and elegant with sour red cherries, raspberries, cranberries, mint leaves, herbs, spice notes, violets, tar, and some worn leather. The Medium/full bodied feel is well balanced and silky with crisp, high acidity and refined, high tannins. The structure is still there to an extent, but it has pulled back as much as it can. This is just beautiful right now and the best bottle I've had of this.

June 15, 2022 - Clear bright medium red. Still a lot of red cherry and berry fruit on the nose. Dry warm red fruit and mushroom flavours and a dry slightly rich finish.

February 20, 2021 - The nose is open and mature with crushed rocks, red fruits, dried red cherries, hints of strawberries, violets, dried herbs, licorice, and tobacco. This does lack some depth and is a little dried out on the nose. The Medium bodied feel is balanced, but a little faded with tart, medium+ acidity and slightly drying, medium+ tannins. The structure is slightly on the drying side and the palate is falling off a little bit. This feels like it's on the backside and should be drunk up now.

November 28, 2019 - Dead. All brown sugar and soy.

October 13, 2018 - The nose was dark and mature, showing musky soil tones, sweet herbal tea, crushed cherry and minerals. On the palate, I found soft textures backed by ripe dark red fruits and minerals, all brightened by vibrant acidity. The finish was medium-long and almost juicy as mineral-steeped black cherry and spice lingered. Again the Produttori shows as a solid contender in the company of giants, leaving me only craving a bit more depth from the ‘90 Asili.
