December 25, 2023 - Christmas wine with a whole leg of lamb. Showed quite well. Even though not the most complex, a perfect wine to open with regular folks as well as classic Bordeaux lovers.
September 19, 2023 - Exceptional—drinking beautifully now, plenty of oomph for another 5 years.
August 27, 2023 - PNP. Fully mature and ready to drink.
July 28, 2023 - Great! Needs to be decanted for at least 3 hours to round up.
May 5, 2023 - Glad we are done with these. Poster child of early century spoofilation. Palatable mature berry fruit with good ripeness and an herbal edge. The issue is the oak, heat and bitter finish. It’s better than some in this style but still a shame. (86)
January 12, 2023 - Tannins are gone/resolved — with a pleasant lingering on the cheeks. Lush and good fruit and spice. Good length. Much better than I expected. Looking forward to next bottle.
December 10, 2022 - Beautiful right bank, drink now, drank from a magnum
January 28, 2022 - Youthful reddish purple in color. Wow, this has come together beautifully with age. Initial aromas of potpourri and incense gives way to dark small berries/cassis, violets, cedar hint of roasted coffee beans, and forest floor. Quite lush, spherical but balanced in the mouth showing aromatic sweet crushed dark small fruits, graphite, medium (-) acidity, melting tannins and a long floral and wood perfumed finish.
November 24, 2021 - Smokey , easy drinking , claret of good character , mature , small fruit.....Happy to drink this any day , could use a good decant.
