January 27, 2015 - Popped and poured. Aromas of smoke and red fruits. Rich, deep flavors of cassis. Smoky notes in a cranberry tinged finish.
Clean, balanced, simple (but interesting) flavors, good depth. The smokiness is more pronounced than I remember, and does do battle with the other components, but all is in harmony at the end.
Not on its last legs but, IMO, not going anywhere either. Drink up.

June 24, 2012 - A very crisp and bright palate with complex earth and berry flavors overlaying a food friendly structure. The nose was very earthy and exhibited fur, farm and orange peel. Gone in no time.

March 30, 2012 - ruby. nose: raspberry, black cherry, blueberry. taste: tart black cherry, raspberry, stoney mineral, earthy in a spring green weeds way, a bit of meatiness. A wine to spend time with but not too serious. served with steak. A wish list for me -- to follow this wine's vintage varieties.
