November 18, 2011 - Heavy and big fruit. I get wood, fruit, and alcohol. Very big on all fronts. I have to say, the 15.5% alc is a bit transparent, the balance could be better. Otherwise, I'd add a point or two to this rating. Very big nose, wood and licorice.

May 21, 2010 - Decanted for 3 hours. A little heat at first, but this blew off as it opened further. Better on the 2nd night and still great on day 3! Blackberry, raspberry, earthy tones. Very smooth after many hours opened. Was fabulous with chocolate.

October 22, 2009 - Notes of red fruit with hints of earth and bacon. On the palate it nice and velvety with flavors of cherries, bacon and ends with notes of green olive. Very interesting wine.

July 25, 2009 - 53% Syrah, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. Dark ruby color. Anise red berry nose. Tastes of black berry and cherry. Nice earthiness on the mid palate and finish. Good depth and complexity. 462 cases produced.
