December 12, 2017 - Colour Light gold with green hues bright and clear 15/15
Nose medium intensity Complex aromatics of cashews ,lemon , a creamy yeast lees note, butter , great complexity 31/35
Palate excellent intensity and lovely mouthfeel , finely balanced acidity and a smooth oak background supporting the fruit flavours that provide a richly flavoured wine of great poise and length.42/44
Overall This wine was fermented in French oak barriques, 70% new barrel and for a wine , now 11 years old showing no real aged characters , well maybe a slightly deeper colour but so fresh and alive in the mouth - enjoyed this a lot 10/11

December 7, 2015 - The top Chardonnay from Craggy Range, made from Gimblett Gravels in the North Island of New Zealand. Very faint yellow with zero negative signs of aging. The dominate flavor is lemon fruit. The wine is aged in 70% new oak, but shows only a delicate cedar and vanilla. At 9 years old, I expected the wine to be richer and more complex than it is, but perhaps this will develop with more age. The 2005 vintage of this wine is significantly greater. Craggy Range is one of the best wineries in New Zealand, who owns vineyards from all over the country in order to be able to source each grape varietal from the place in New Zealand that produces the highest quality grapes for that varietal.

April 6, 2014 - Well doggone if this wine didn't hit it's stride after we'd drank three of the four. But the fourth was worth the wait. Let it open a while but keep it cool while doing so. Then when it warms up it will be just right.

July 1, 2013 - A bit watery out of the bottle. May be starting to diminish. There are hints of what it may have been, especially after opened for 45 mins. Would not dread drinking it again, but not a special wine.
