August 7, 2014 - We have never developed a liking to Sauvignon Blanc due to its inherently green nature, however this SB was enjoyed for it's white citrus & tropical fruit character with bright acidity. We didn't get the grass others have noted, which is more than fine with us.

December 30, 2013 - Medium bodied wine. Yellow golden color. Medium finish. Taste of grass. Hay, gravel, faint ammonia smell. Overall solid

September 17, 2012 - Just a great bottle of SB. I wish they still made this. The other is just too much for SB.

July 5, 2012 - PnP, very nice and fresh, energetic citrus fruit, even after 4 years. Lovely verve on the palate, chalk and grass on the medium length finish. This is a delicious summer wine, drink up now, or will last another year at least.

May 16, 2012 - As before: refreshing: relatively light in body, an effective balance of floral notes and tropical fruits. Versatile, and thus a fine white wine to cook with, and I mean that as a compliment (I tend to be a little more particular about the quality of wine I use for cooking that that which I pour). It does seem pricey at $30, though. And in returning to the bottle to have with a meal, I noticed that it was slightly corked, so: Flaw, no score.

May 5, 2012 - Medium yellow color. Tropical fruit still dominates the nose and palate of this wine. Some citrus notes come through on the palate as well but the acid seems to be fading a little. This wine is still a treat for the palate with great texture and body but if you have any left, it is time to drink up.

April 5, 2012 - Fare thee well, $30 Larkmead Sauv Blanc. I've enjoyed many bottles of you. Now we move on to the $55 Lillie version for 2010, which makes it slightly more indulgent and not a wine that I would use to turn folks on to what Larkmead can do, given the price point for entry. sigh.

January 16, 2012 - Last bottle. PNP. Medium yellow in color - has darkened over the last few months. Still full of delightful aromas of grass and citrus. Pear, apple and citrus on the palate with, as everyone else has noted, a acidic finish that keeps it from being too sweet. Very nice and a shame Larkmead doesn't make more. If scoring 90-91.
