Des notes qui traduisent mal la composition de ce vin, beaucoup plus merlot que sangiovese !...
Tout de même, un peu de cuir au nez.
Très généreux, moka, cacao, mûre, tanins fondus.
Bon accord avec des pot-au-feu et viande braisé.
June 13, 2020 - Nice velvety black fruit. Very vibrant still and acidity is good. Drink up and enjoy.
September 27, 2019 - Tasted like a Brunello. Lots of ripe black cherry fruit, Tuscan earth, Asian spices along with some sandalwood in the background. Just enough acidity left to keep the wine feeling fresh and younger than its 12 years. Finish was smooth with integrated tannins. Wine is still in the peak drinking window, although I did notice some oxidative notes. Drink now - 2021.
August 11, 2019 - Excellent. No formal note but was slightly better than Canalicchio di sopra brunello 2010 !

January 27, 2018 - Consumed over two different evenings with pot roast made with Cabernet Sauvignon; a good match. Nice wine; not a great deal of character, but still recognizably Tuscan and very good. Drink this year.
December 29, 2017 - Lot's of juicy red fruit balanced nicely by some earthy savory notes and good acidity. Drinking beautifully right now and probably has a couple more years at peak.
November 4, 2017 - Where's the "I love it" radio button? Every bottle in the past 2 months has been outstanding. This is such a delicious wine for the $24 price tag. Can't wait to try the flagship "Oreno" bottling in a few years.
September 6, 2017 - Dark Purple. very good right now and better after decanting for 30 minutes. balanced fruit flavors. paired nicely with chicken brochette and pasta.
August 8, 2017 - It has only been in the decanter for about 30 minutes. This is a very nice Super Tuscan. Very velvety. I would have guessed a right bank blend, but their website says 80 Sangiovese and 20 Merlot. Regardless, this is outstanding. Given how soft and welcoming the tannins are, I doubt that this will last longer than about 5 years. But, why wait, as this is so delicious and ready to drink now.
