July 1, 2021 - On the nose a bit prune giving away the vintage a bit. The palate is a lot better - energetic for an 03, glides over the palate, wholesome. Actually rather enjoyable and if the nose had been better could have been terrific.

December 5, 2020 - Opened at a Noreetuh Blind tasting. Outdoors, ambient temp of ~40. That did not help. Also, decanted 2 hours before dinner and double decanted for byo. that did not help either. The wine tasted hot, indicative of its 2003 vintage. NOT what I experienced in the previous 2 bottles. This is a same night that a 2001 Giacosa red label tasted hot and disjointed. Nevertheless gotta call the ball as I see it. I enjoyed it, had the red berries I enjoy but also some butterscotch heat/oak signature, more reminiscent of a Cali (well-made Cali sure.)

January 31, 2020 - No heat dectected; very properly suchots, elegant, seamless, balanced and in a great drinking window right now.

March 18, 2011 - beautiful wine that doesn't resemble the overripe 03 vintage characteristics...classic Vosne nose of asian spice, flowers and some minerals - really intoxicating...more light and precise on palate than imposing and powerful...there is punch here especially in comparison to the weight...a great wine, one that embodies what I love most in Burgundy - site expression, balance and wonderful aromatics and palate texture...reminded me of the experience I had with an 00 Mugnier Amoureuses a few years ago
