November 23, 2021 - This wine was a big surprise for all of us! First time trying. Very approachable with lots of fruit and jam up front. Not super complex but easy to drink for many.

December 25, 2020 - This has to be one of the top PQR wines I have ever purchased. Both bottles were spectacular. So glad I have other vintages of this wine.

February 23, 2018 - Just caught this in time, cork showed staining right to the top but beautiful black fruits when opened. After 45 minutes fruit blew off and this settled down with more acid and earthy flavor. Solid but probably at the end of its window.

November 18, 2017 - Wow!! What another year makes... this is the Leviathan I remembered when I first tried it years ago.
PnP, and was ready for business, solid blue and black fruit up front on entry, w/ a nice red fruit on the finish. Had a slight bit of heat initially, definitely not overwhelming, and with just a little bit of air, blew off quickly & integrated. Great entry and mid pallet, short to medium finish.
No signs of any green notes as found on a couple earlier bottles.
Flavors of black currant, blackberries, hint of tart blueberry, & prune, turning to raspberry on the finish. With a little pepper note, espresso, & molasses.
IMHO Think these are in the optimum drinking window.. tasting like this, great QPR! -

October 1, 2016 - Last bottles tasted seemed to be 'green', but this one was showing nicely, with red and black fruit, was not over Oaked and definitely seemed to showcase Cab Franc .. but with without the overwhelming green pepper notes from the recent previous bottles.. and IMHO still seems like it has some life left ... def don't think it has anymore upside.. though... good to go and was a crowd pleaser.
