January 13, 2023 - Surprised no one has rated this in 10+ years. The wine has evolved quite a lot with tertiary flavors.
Pours transparent with brown and orange edges, like weak tea. Nose initially has paraffin and funk but they blew off within minutes. Opens to chocolate, honey, tobacco, walnut and dried cherry. Palate is juicier with more assertive cherry up front then followed by aromatics from the prior sentence. Still body, not letting up in any way.
Not the most complex barolo Ive ever had but its in great condition, has no faults and has evolved so well. Would love if wines like this were more mainstream. -

August 12, 2008 - spectacular? maybe not. but such a rich fresh wine - perfect - and I mean PERFECT with a tomato based Italian dish. this is food friendly.

December 30, 2007 - Nice aged brick color. Good fruit still on the nose. Strong but smooth tannins. Drinking nicely.
