    October 20, 2021 - Unlike the last bottle, this 162 edition bottle was superb.

    Great lift, depth, complexity and and a beautiful creamy finish. The aroma was peach, honey, brioche with a highly refined mousse. Body was honeysuckle, streamlined acidity and great depth of complexity - apple, nuts and etc. Finish was nice weighted and balanced with a fine mineral structure.

    Drink now or could easily go for another 6+ years. I would recommend decanting carefully into the right decanter to fully experience this wonderful wine.

    October 17, 2021 - This was delicious for a mature Krug MV. Golden in color, derp rich concentrated flavors of nutty sweet dried apples with plenty of zesty lift. The reason you age great Champagne.

    (NV Krug Champagne Grande Cuvée Brut) A Chardonnay-based blend of as many as 10 different vintages, primarily from grand cru vineyards. Krug’s tête de cuvée, like the wines of Bollinger, is first barrel-fermented in neutral oak. Golden yellow in color, it has fresh, bold aromas of Bosc pear, Macintosh apples, nutmeg, and lemon meringue. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich with caramel, earth, and baking spices.     (NV Krug) New label which is kind of boring and even ugly. Old label was really classy. Don't know what they were thinking. If it ain't broke don't fix it. The wine was gorgeous. Just gets better every time I have it. Easily one of the most conisistent wineries in the world. Massive concentration allied with a seamlessness and utterly mindlowing complexity.
