October 5, 2017 - Fifth of six bottles and all in good shape with no hint of the pox. This one is just hitting its stride with good depth and delicious complexity on the palate - lemon, chalk and tons of acidity but also that candied, honeyed note in the background.

Early days in terms of its maturity but broaching one now makes perfect sense on this evidence, even without the specter of the pox.

August 30, 2017 - I've had a run of great luck with 2008 Chablis from Fevre. This bottle is a delicate straw color, with a powerful nose showing yellow currents and cherries, vanilla and brioche. Luscious and long, lifted palate with serious acidity that counterbalances the fruit. Mineral finish.

August 11, 2017 - Wow, a good bottle! With very low expectations after numerous oxidized bottles this appears only yellow in the glass. It actually improved over an hour, displaying anise, honey and lemon fragrance. Medium body, resfreshing and fairly long, saline finish.

July 15, 2017 - Lots of lemon and lemon peel with bright acidity and good minerality. Nicely fresh for Fevre at this age when first popped-and-poured, this remained that bright for at least an hour, then started a very gradual decline until finished over the next hour. But still good to the last drop.

July 11, 2017 - Sound bottle - not oxidized. Upon opening it gave much less on the nose than the palatte, but a few hours in it started to show more. Very good.
