March 1, 2012 - What an unexpected treat. Bought this bottle as a novelty for my wife (pet lover) and it lived on the counter for ~6 months. Finally got sick of looking at it and opened it up to find a fruity red that went well with our pork chops. Medium bodied and not too acidic, could probably stand on its own without food as well.

December 12, 2011 - The only reason this wine is scoring as low as it is is because of it's low price. I don't imagine that too many people paid the full retail, $12.99, for this. I have purchased it at various times at World Market at prices ranging from $4.99 to $7.20/bottle. It is, IMO, the best under $10 wine that I've had. It's nose is worth the price alone and the addition of the 12% zin to the otherwise Rhone blend gives that little extre kick to both nose and palate.

I have served this blind to people who are in danger of being fulltime wine nerds and they have guessed the price at between $20 and $40. Don't be a slave to preconceived ideas friends! Just enjoy the great cheap ones when they show up.

April 3, 2011 - Some creative soul thought up this remarkable blend of Syrah, Zin, Mourvedre and Carignane - and I think it’s a real winner! Heavenly aroma, very dark and slightly sweet, but very complex and substantive.

March 21, 2011 - Surprisingly dark red. Strawberry, raspberry jam, and a tiny bit of funk. Medium bodied, cherry pie, dry spices, sweet tannins, and a medium finish. Better than it had to be at this price.

March 3, 2011 - Nice full-bodied Rhone style, with nice layering for the money.
