September 22, 2017 - Faded but still has some flavor. Not as much complexity. Shared with the grandparents on our son's 10th birthday.

December 23, 2011 - Still drinking fine, but the merlot doesn't match the shiraz or the cab from these guys. Smooth, nice balance, a bit brighter than I remembered.
December 23, 2011 - This style is wearing thin on me, but it's a reasonable example if this is what you're into.
May 15, 2011 - For a Merlot, this is a very spicey wine but full of flavor and BIG like a Cabernet Sav.
May 6, 2011 - I have had 2 bottles of the same vintage 2008 MD Scooter and would say that they should stick to Cabs and Shiraz. Nothing wrong with the Scooter, but not up to par with the rest of MD.
Drank without decanting on a night with several other wines and this was not a standout.
December 11, 2010 - Decanted for an hour first based on recent posts; still lots of fruit and power but nicely integreted
February 14, 2010 - Hard to believe this is a a Merlot. It's like one of Mollydooker's Shiraz' with a bit more civility. Still has some of that Shiraz licorice bite, but much more subdued then the classic Australian Shiraz's. Still chewy, big fruit and velvety texture ,like I said, hard to believe this is a Merlot
