March 12, 2023 - Wow how fresh is this wine right now. Lovely deep purple with a glorious bouquet of dark plum, blackberry and oak. Minutes after opening, this wine came out hitting its strides. Plenty of blackberry opening on the palate but quickly transforms to leather and tobacco with a long lasting finish.

June 12, 2021 - Opened on the Saturday night and a half bottle put aside for Monday night. Allowed to breath in a smaller decanter on the Saturday night. Was drinking superbly from word go, still in a primary stage, dark red almost purple, luscious fruit, integrated wood, a touch of menthol/eucalypt, excellent length. Even better on the Monday night. Has years left in it. 93+

November 23, 2018 - Needed a little too open up.
But very smooth, blackcurrant flavours, are with Indian food and was perfect.

June 14, 2018 - Good fruit structure with blackcurrant, plum, mocha. Great balance and length. The tannins are fine and present. The acidity is nicely integrated. Has a good few years ahead, and will improve still.

June 25, 2016 - 2014 Trio Release Dinner - June 2016: The '06 trio lined up against the current '14 releases. And this was my least favourite of all '06s. The tannins and oak in the '14 have it in a vice grip, and the '06 isn't much better. I would have expected the '06 to have settled down and presented better, but unfortunately not. The fruit is still restrained by the oak and tannin combination. Hard to tell exactly what's going on here, except to say that it's flat, dry and not that enjoyable. Disappointing.
