February 20, 2019 - Let me start by saying that I love older wine. I love their unique, aged and melancholy flavors. I appreciate fresh and younger wine as much as anyone but for a change of pace ....... older wine is it.

This one has an aromatic start of stewed berries, moves on to muted kirsch liquor and then ends with just a balanced sweet prune lingering flavor. Great to see the changing nature of PN. Take my advise and try some.

May 31, 2014 - Very forgettable for a $40 Pinot. Had some green aroma at first and went away after 15 mins. Not any spice on the nose that I have gotten and enjoyed on other Keefer Ranch Pinots. Just boring on the pallet with muted red cherry tones early on and some spritz. Very simple finish. Didnt improve much over the 1 hr consumption I have a Gary’s and Clos 2008 AP Vin so I’m concerned. Just not my style when I want a CA pinot. I do love the twist tops.

January 8, 2014 - Black cherry fruit, some brick to the garnet color, good mouth feel. Some nice accents of baking spice. Good acidity on the finish complemented our New Years black eyed peas quite well.

7/2/2014 Didn't get much of the baking spice this time and noted some minerality and earthiness. Otherwise, similar to the last bottle.

10/31/2014 Much more earthiness this time around. Cracked it open, poured a glass, and nearly overwhelmed (in a good way) with the smell of dirt. The fruit came through in about 5 minutes and from then on it was much more balanced. But an interesting experience that I would have normally attributed to a cork.

November 28, 2013 - Nose of earth, brown sugar, dried cherry and herb. This has a nice palate presence with flavors of dried cherry, cinnamon, licorice and raspberry. This has a little heat on the palate. Seems to be evolving quite fast since the last time I had it. Still a pretty nice Cali Pinot for the price.

August 16, 2013 - This had a big nose and lots of big up front fruit. Didn't like this quite as much as I did on release but it had a lot of Califonia Pinot character and simply unbeatable for the price I paid for it. Very tough to find a good Pinot for around $20 nowadays.
