August 18, 2015 - Medium red color, passes light clearly. Shy aromatically, little development over four hours: gentle cranberry, garrigue. On arrival, low tannin and medium acidity. Easy drinking, passes for a nice Cotes du Rhone. Dang. Bottle #5 of twelve.

August 10, 2014 - Medium red-garnet color, pale-edged. Reticent nose at first. Grows in intensity and complexity over three hours. On arrival, medium-light tannin And balanced acidity. Flavors initially savory: raw beef, garrigue and violets. Moderate fruit appears within an hour. Long finish extended by fine-grained tannin. Classic for this house, almost no new oak spice intruding. Bottle #4 of twelve.

    March 30, 2013 - Decanted 3 hrs, tasted over 3 hrs
    -color fading, clear rim
    -reticent but deep berry/plum, earth
-med+ acidity with a touch of VA, very sappy mid-palate on med weight frame, med- tannins, OK complexity, slight tertiary development
    -very pleasant, nearing peak maturity

July 2, 2011 - Medium red, pale-edged. Aroma of very ripe, musky raspberry, violets, black pepper, mixed garrigue. Medium acid, medium-low tannin. Elegant and tight on the palate initially, but with two hours airing the tart raspberry and garrigue flavors grow in intensity. Finishes with very long lasting violets, berry and black pepper. Stiff perhaps and still very young and quite primary. M. Gallet spoke several years back of having had an effortless vintage from 2001: a dry harvest, clean ripe fruit, and a most consistent quality among his small sets of cuves. He used very little new oak (renews only two or perhaps four barrels each season). Bottle #3 of twelve.

October 2, 2010 - Garnet. Nose initially was plums, cherries, spice and celery-yes celery. With time in the glass the celery went away leaving rich cherry and blackberry flavors. No bacaon fat found here. Taste was sour cherry and an acid kick on the end. Went well with steak.
