October 9, 2020 - Fabulous from the pull, though a little tight. This cab opened brilliantly and in seemingly no time. Flavors pronounced, tannins medium. Long 15 second finish. I am glad we cellared this one. Drinking beautifully
September 19, 2020 - This is the best of the vintage. Tannins have really calmed down allowing the fruit to really shine. Loads of red ripe fruits with a hint of tobacco and cedar showing through. Finish was impressive and really stood up to a long dinner. Everyone was very impressed with this wine. Enough said-getting more!
August 8, 2020 - A little distracted by the whole pandemic outdoor dining scene but the wine showed well. Solid all around - nice nose and mouthfeel with still some tannin left to be resolved. Great with lamb shoulder. I feel that this is a more hedonistic than intellectual wine. Nothing wrong with that.
January 18, 2020 - By now, this thirteen years old bottle deserves a full 93.
November 23, 2019 - Purchased on release, benefited from 2 hour decant. Just a lovely, silky multi-layered cab.
September 27, 2019 - This 12 years bottle is extraordinaire, dark red, dense, lots of spaciously legs, smooth and balanced acidity, tannins and sweetness, with a nice, round long finishing. I am glad that I still have one bottle left.
September 16, 2019 - Very nice wine, drinking well, don't think it's yet on the downslope. Fairly dark full bodied wine that has great fruit but is elegant. Probably better with food. Pleasant finish.
March 24, 2019 - Purple, opaque and rich with sediment. The cork was perfect in spite the wine being 12 years old. Aromatic, fruit forward nose that's rich in dark fruit and a hint of vanilla. The palate is surprisingly elegant with a currant finish. A beautiful wine and incredible at this price point. 5+12+18+8=93
