August 23, 2022 - Rusty red with lots of sediment. Stewed plums, black pepper, and cranberries on the nose. Maybe some dried herbs as well. On the palate, plums carry over and there are notes of cigars and clove-like spices. However, it wasn't really harmonious or delightful. Just present. To quote a salesman I met once, "Buy better stuff." Noted, sir.

February 28, 2011 - Outstanding qpr. Well structured and balanced. Dark fruits with the Syrah taking center stage but perfectly blended and restrained with the other varietals.

February 2, 2011 - refreshing acidity. very stoney. lavender florals. rather glassy texture. a subtle pepper on the nose and the palate. generally polished and with foodie acidity. old world-y in its toned down fruiit profile. this wine helps me decide to start cooking dinner. 4 hours in this really opens up to a much sweeter profile on both the palate and the nose. blue fruits. frozen fleshy blue fruits.
