A few hours decant and it was just shining - smooth white chocolate black raspberry black cherry & subtle graphite.
Super yummy and think it is at its peak now! -

April 16, 2023 - SQN Dinner (Jordan's Place - Chicago IL): In 06-07 flight. Lush and spicy with rich red and black plum and cherry. There is an enchanting start that ends with an even bigger, more robust finish. Very food now with upside.

December 15, 2022 - 2nd bottle of this....slow ox'd for 2 hours and enjoyed over 2 more. Lighter Cardinal red in the glass. Loads of bright red cherries and over the course of a few hours more smokey barrel char emerges. HMC nailed it as an '07, but the varietal eluded everyone. This is a very nice wine, however I can't help but think it's a good bit overpriced. For $100, it would be very nice. Luckily, I got my 2 bottles at quite the discount, not the going rate today. This appears to be another case of too much hype, overall. Nice, but not GREAT! Or maybe its best years are behind it? Lori's fav!
