August 23, 2016 - Intense nose with a whiff of petrol aromas. With time develops waxy notes and in the end even exotic Gewurtz aromatics. High acidity of small yellow plums, even unripe ones. Concentration and acidity is high. Off-dry, as the fruits are juicy and with a certain sweetness. Finish is tart.

    April 1, 2014 - Attica - belated b'day dinner -

    Excellent aged Riesling.

Golden honeyed, kerosene on the nose, Candied lime/citrus notes. Plenty of life & vibrancy left in the wine. A pleasure to drink. A touch more developed than previous tasters notes, but plenty of acidity to ensure we kept returning to our glasses.

A great match to the nights dinner @ Attica (crab/kangaroo/brussel sprouts/roast pork/fig leaf milk ice-cream & poached grapes).

February 27, 2014 - Still bright and crisp. I'd never have guessed that this was almost 20 years old. Zippy acidity, not at all heavy- the citrus and apricot fruit is wonderful in this. Wish I had more.

May 15, 2013 - Blind Wine & Dine (@ Nicolas): I loved the wine, and glad to retry it. Consistent with previous experience : petrol notes, some citrus, round, and good supporting acidity with long finish . It could easily be aged longer without any issue I think.

May 23, 2012 - I don't have much experience in old Riesling neither Austrian wines, but this one was very impressive.
Petrol smell, lemony, dry and long finish, evolved to white flowers honey. Delicious.

August 22, 2011 - Still light gold. Beautiful aromas of apple, lemon peel, slate and petrol. Dry, with flavors of cirus and stone, with an herbal component. Carries its age beautifully. Very good, if just short of great.

March 22, 2011 - Light gold color. Complex, intense nose of petrol, dry leaves and ripe apple. Medium bodied and bone dry on the palate, perhaps a touch thin to be a truly great Riesling but very good nonetheless.

September 4, 2010 - Extreme in its complexity and sublimity, freshness and layers. Would pair with any creamy-textured seafood, especially with hints of Asian spice.
