  March 8, 2010 - A top QPR wine if I ever saw one. Anyone thinking a wine with a screw top is no good should really try this, and if that notion sticks, he shouldn't be drinking wine at all. A very warm and friendly (why not?) smell greeted us, of remote pencil, rosewood (again, why not?) and even a citrus hint. I rarely smell something as inviting as this, being someone who still haven't understood the attraction of manure smells (someday maybe I'll get there though...) More often than not I find the first smell of a wine repulsive, until I smell through the first «protective» smell layer... Tasted great, and different. We had trouble defining the taste, but it made us yearn for summer. Pleasant tannins, very drinkable now, but will last a few years. Not a great length, but what was great was the match with the spaghetti carbonara we made, complete with home made spaghetti. A wonderful wine with a wonderful meal on a plain old Monday!
