March 20, 2024 - Good a little round and less reductive than the 04. Still a good wine but was a little ripe.

March 7, 2024 - Quite cheesy (think Epoisse), fat and buttery. Lacking a bit of structure, hot vintage is noticeable. But still good.

March 4, 2023 - Super intense nose, white truffle, flinty, fire stone, citrus, reductive nose, strong taste, complexity, long aftertaste, can still age

December 20, 2022 - Burgundies at Chiu Tang: The previous taster managed to nail this as Chablis right off the bat which was very impressive. My favourite of the night probably because it's hard to catch Burgundies at their peak and this was a great wine at its apogee despite the dark colour. The sheer heft and the waxy texture that Raveneau manages without it getting too heavy was quite a unique experience, great complexity.

December 20, 2022 - Good to revisit this. Seashell, oyster, stone fruit, consummate and crushed rocks on the nose. For Chablis of this age, it is drinking at peak. Very similar to Rloveā€™s comment.

October 22, 2022 - Still going strong, albeit perhaps a bit less concenttated from my last bottle, losing some midpalate oomph, Raveneau's 2002 Butteaux has peaked but shows no sign of oxidation, clean and pure, with lime blossom and plenty of Chablis typicity such as oyster shell. Floral on the palate. Very good.

July 20, 2022 - Young character, fresh, introvert in the beginning, citrus, white flowers, dried grass, after some time opening up: more hazelnut aroma, impressive wine, can still age further

May 23, 2022 - Sadly, this didn't meet my expectations. It was a perfectly tasty aged Chablis--with sleek acids and minerals--but the overall impression was a bit muted and austere. A sharp divergence from the opulence that I associate with Raveneau. Enjoyable but not top-tier.

February 19, 2022 - In a perfect spot with secondary and tertiary notes evident, Raveneau never seems to put a foot wrong whatever the year. Packed full of lemon and honey, I also pick the hint of clove mentioned by a fellow reviewer. It has perfect acidity and precision with the just the right amount of oak on the palate. The finish is excellent with lingering notes of oyster shell, lemon, and lime. It still benefits from decanting. 94+

January 25, 2022 - Mid weight gold, straw.
Lemon and lime citrus zest, softened by honeysuckle, hint of orange peel. A lovely minerality runs through, and a little chalky character. Fresh, excellent acidity, and a long lingering finish. Delicious, a great example.
