May 22, 2016 - Quite a bit of cherry, which made it pair nicely with duck. A bit of sediment. Medium body.

January 24, 2015 - Delightful nose, lilac, strawberry hard candy, cranberry. Intense but short palate, bitters and rosemary. Short/medium finish with a bit of blue flower. The weakness here is the palate, otherwise superb.

(Stefano Farina Barbaresco) #2; COLOR-medium/dark; NOSE-beautiful red cherries coming through right off the bat; almost like crushed Smarties meets cherries; a little creamy; some floral action (rose petal and lilac); really pretty; PALATE-rustic which I like quite a bit; dry; a little gamey on the mid-palate --I feel like I just bit a Moose; interesting dark plum juice; quite different and interesting flavor profile; really like the kirsch, cranberry, sour pomegranate mixed in with a little tobacco, dirt and sawdust; this is pretty darn good and really well made wine for $26 bones; nice wine; WS-90; GV-90
