  July 29, 2012 - Definately have to open this one up. Hour or two of air. Nose was tight spicy oak when first opened. Then transitioned to light oak/vanilla, to cherry oak to cherry licorice and finished spicy licorice after a couple of hours. slightly chewy tanins. Enjoyable!

  December 17, 2011 - Almost undrinkable. I love blends, but they don't always work and this is a great example if a failed attempt. Not sure, but one of the varietals in this blend added the sourness, but something went wrong. I know this is only a $10 bottle, but for the same money Ménage-a-trois or Old Vine Red blends are much more tasty.

  September 26, 2011 - Still an excellent QPR, though this just wasn't quite as smooth as the previous bottle. Still bright red fruit initially and some sweet tobacco added during the mid-palate, but the finish wasn't quite the same as described in a previous note (on 2/20/11). I wouldn't call it bitter, but it did have a bit of a bite / more spice than the previous bottle or two did. And while bite is just what you want with some wines, this one seems like it should end smooth. Still a great bottle for $10.
