January 2, 2024 - PnP enjoyed over two nights; night one was better, for me, unsure about what others may have preferred. My glowing tasting note of July 2017 suggested this might have a preferred plateau thru 2025, and that seems to be the case, as this bottle was delicious, and complex (a nearly equal mix of secondary and tertiary notes), but was absent the pace of its youth, as will happen. That said, it still operated at a high level considering its purity, balance and length. 13,0% abv., drink in the next few years while the getting is still (this) good. highly recommended

August 18, 2023 - Color: medium ruby, hints of Garnet
Nose: red apple, blackberry, blueberry and plum, ripe but not too much. Hints of pie crust, smoke, bitumen and rhubarb pie. There is a hint of octane, or hydrocarbons anyways at the end of every sniff
Palate: at this stage it's very endearing and balanced. Hint of sweet, medium-high acidity and medium tannins that are however close to resolved. Body is medium full, leaning full. Follows the nose with hints of liver and blood that I must guess are from the aglianico
Finish: medium-long
In a fantastic spot, fruit is there but so are tertiaries. It still has tension but it drinks easy and charming. There is nuance but it's subtle, in aglianico form, a reverberation you must pay attention to. Excellent, though I prefer unblended aglianicos in this age group to be fully honest
April 22, 2023 - Aged Well since its purchase in 2011. Medium bodied, dark cherries on the nose and pallet..
January 14, 2023 - Delicious!
Power and grace. Fruit and soil.
Really, really good.
Cabernet, Merlot and Aglianico.
December 26, 2022 - Last bottle, still in great shape. See my note below
April 19, 2022 - Initially a bit austere, but that disappeared with some time and air and gave way to a very elegant showing with dark and red fruits intermingled, great balance and a very long aftertaste. Classy!
April 9, 2022 - Showing a bit of evolution but still in its prime drinking window, exceptional balance, finesse, elegant and a refined acidity.
March 10, 2022 - A Cabernet driven cuvee, youthful. Very dark color. Elegant, but still reduced, shy nose. Needs time and air to unfold. After a while you get a wonderful composed blackberry driven bouquet. Well balanced on the palate, nice texture. Finish with beautiful length, still dominant but noble tannins. A decade or more ahead.
October 31, 2021 - Onyx color with a garnet rim. Dried fruits, musky earth floor with big eucalyptus and deep, dark fruits. Chalky, good mouthfeel. The wine, contrary to the drink window, still seems tight and needs more time at this stage.
p.s. cornish game hen with meat stuffing, seared zucchini and butter lettuce salad with homemade ranch
September 18, 2021 - Still good after 14 years. Needs time to open up and then flavors come out to play
