January 18, 2011 - A decent value wine. Some faint fruit notes on the nose which give way to oak and acid. Soft finish. Just OK.

November 8, 2010 - Good everyday bottle. Soft hint of pear. Paired okay with a roasted chicken and wild rice.

September 30, 2010 - Again, buttery and oaky style chard and clearly not of the high end variety. Noticed some bitterness on the finish from this bottle.

September 20, 2010 - Drank blind head to head with edna valley paragon chard 08. the clos du bois was less oaky, with crisp apple and pear. We preferred the paragon, but the clos du bois is an easy drinking a crowd pleaser.

August 8, 2010 - Buttery and oaky -- kind of a standard cheap Cali Chard. Decent if you like this style. I'm not a big fan of this style, but at least the price is right.

August 8, 2010 - Light straw color. Initial sulfite bite, gives way to apple and fainter pear. High acidity not necessarily balanced with slight oak.

July 18, 2010 - Light golden color. Oaky nose. Buttery mouthfeel of lemon, oak, and vanilla flavors. Medium-full bodied, defintely edging towards the heavier Californian style of Chardonnay. Good QPR at $10/bottle. Once again, Clos du Bois delivers a fine and easy drinking everyday Chardonnay for those who enjoy the moderately oaky style.
