March 17, 2024 - Heater week; 3/8/2024-3/17/2024 (Chicago, IL): Another relatively dialled down edition, maybe a little too much here, as this feels more muted and subdued. Again a red-fruited profile here, with relatively higher acids.
January 19, 2024 - Decanted for 2 hours. Cayuse funk on the nose. Stewed fruit and flint on the palate and a long finish. For me, not worth the price or the hype. There are so many other good syrahs at half the price
July 22, 2023 - Deep color, tons of extracted blueberry fruit, good finish, just not a style I enjoy.
June 25, 2023 - Past prime, loss of fruit, unbalanced
May 15, 2023 - Simply delicious!
February 26, 2023 - Crushed wet stone, berry, and receding Cayuse funk aromas with a silky palate and soft tannins on the long finish!
February 5, 2023 - Really disappointed in this. Stewed black fruits, yes there was some pepper but thats about all.
September 26, 2022 - Last tasted over seven years ago with similar notes though not showing any signs of decline. An elegant wine with lots of deep, concentrated berry fruits in the nose and flavor. Black cherries, blackberries, plums and licorice with hints of floral in the nose. Blackberries, plums, black raspberries and hints of herbalness in the flavor. Very well balanced, complex, full bodied and a long lingering finish.
June 25, 2022 - At home. Flawed bottle. Not corked or prune, just flat and lacking any fruit.
April 24, 2022 - Deeeelicious. Drink sooner than later.
