April 25, 2020 - Fifth time having this wine in the past year and I love it! Fully mature, incredible nose, delicious blue fruit, gardenia and lavinder, cigar box, and anise. Enjoyed with a Kobe strip steak that melted in my mouth. Incredible combination! Decanted for 1 hour and consumed over the course of 3 additional hours.

April 13, 2020 - Good not great. Subtle nose and juice. I believe this is still in it's infancy and needs a couple more years to really blossom. I would wait a couple more years to crack open

April 1, 2020 - The 2000 Malescot opens consistently with a deep crimson colour with a pure nose of blackcurrant, creme de cassis, violet, dark chocolate and violets. The palate is medium weight with a lovely ball of dark fruit leading into the distinction and balance of a fine Margaux. There is good length and persistence and an overall sense of classic Margaux character.

February 28, 2020 - Really not very nice, no charm, quite tart. unresolved oak and tannins still tough. Was better a day later but still lacked charm, though there is quite nice fruit, just not enough of it to balance the aggressive structure. to be fair this is a classically austere Bordeaux that may one day be a pleasant drink - but I wouldn't bother looking at it for another decade.
